450 acres in market garden on black soil in the region of Lanaudière.

A Family Business

Formerly located in the Galeries d’Anjou sector in Montreal, the Jardins Vaes eventually settled in Lavaltrie, situated in Lanaudière, in 1962 to cultivate its black soils and to pursue their objectives and dreams concerning the agricultural world. Daniel Vaes first farmed the land with his father Robert, who eventually passed the torch to his son, Maxime, in 2010. Maxime has managed to bequeath the company all his passion and dedication towards vegetable producing. His rigour and his expertise doubtlessly brought the significant recognition that we harbour for our products which translates into an undeniable and exceptional quality that allows us to distinguish ourselves within the field.

From Our Family to Yours!

By dint of its constant and maintained growth, our business has proactively engaged itself in the reviewing of its structure to propel its development and to give the business a solid and coherent image, one that meets its ambitions. We have proudly accomplished this objective. The Vaes’ family continues to provide Quebeckers with various market garden products since four generations.

Our purpose will always remain our biggest source of pride: from our family to yours!

The Place des producteurs (PDP) is the implementation of an optimal framework to ensure the representation and the commercialization of fruits and vegetables provided by Quebec farmers. Created originally on what is known today as the Place Jacques-Cartier in old Montreal, the PDP is in a state-of-the-art refrigerated storage facility concerning food-processing standards. More than a storage area, the PDP is a place of exchange, of meeting and of discovery between producers and clients.
